When used in combination with modern, high speed cylindrical roller bearings of types N10 and NN30 in particular, it is possible to realise high speed spindles with high axial and radial rigidity and load carrying capacity. Since no tilting moments must be supported, the kinematic characteristics under combined load are not impaired, which makes this bearing arrangement particularly robust.

LDDM - Linear Direct Drive Motors

L2U linear motors are slotted, permanent magnet excited AC synchronous motors in double-sided design. They are characterised by their excellent force to volume ratio. The attraction between the primary part and the two secondary parts is reduced to value approaching zero. The iron-core linear motor has two secondary parts symmetrically opposite each other. A very compact design of the moving primary part reduces mass and volume.

Direct integration in the bearing for high precision rotary axes

Inductive and magnetoresistive angular measuring systems have proved themselves for use in rotary axes in machine tools, both for rotary tables as well as for milling heads. In particular, hollow shaft measuring systems integrated in the rolling bearing are advantageous in both design and functional terms. As a supplement to the YRTM and YRTSM bearings, which have been used successfully for many years and have an integrated angular measuring system with pitch-coded reference marks and an analogue 1VSS output, it will shortly be possible to offer systems with absolute angular coding and numerous absolute value interfaces common in the market.
