Different bearing types can be used for specific maximum speeds only. A maximum speed parameter defines the maximum permissible speeds for standard designs. The speed parameter n x dm is the product of speed and mean bearing diameter.
Single row deep groove ball bearings, for example, can be used for speed parameters of up to n x dm = 500,000.
